What do language barriers look in like in Latin America? - The most influential language across Latin America is Spanish. That is the universal language to prevent language barriers. There are language barriers there just like everywhere but, for the most part Latin America is Spanish speaking. That is not saying there is not exceptions, for example in Suriname they speak dutch. Some countries chose to have the language be something other than Spanish (like english or dutch) but for the most part if you know Spanish, you should be able to communicate in Latin America.
